Mini-Grooved Melt Blown Filter Cartridge, PLM Series
The Pullner PLM mini-grooved melt blown filter cartridge is a grooved surface melt-blown filter with a fine groove pattern that increases effective filtration area. It is used as a polishing or pre-filtration stage on industrial process liquids and water, ahead of pleated or membrane final filters. The media is 100% polypropylene (PP), rated 1, 3, 5, 10, 20, 30 or 60 µm. Each element is 63 mm in outer diameter and 5″ to 40″ long, with a suggested flow of 1–5 GPM per 10″ and an 80°C limit. Send your current model or duty for a fit check and quote.

At finer grades, the working life of a melt blown cartridge is set by how much outer surface it presents before the face loads. The mini-grooved PLM cartridge carries a fine groove pattern across its outer surface. It adds effective filtration area without the deep slots of the groove type, so it suits cleaner feeds run at tighter grades.
The media is 100% polypropylene, melt blown into a graded depth structure on a 63 mm outer diameter. Grades are 1, 3, 5, 10, 20, 30 or 60 µm, in 5", 10", 20", 30" and 40" lengths. End caps are DOE or SOE (226 fin, 226 flat, 222 fin, 222 flat) with silicone, NBR, Viton or EPDM seals. Suggested flow is 1–5 GPM per 10" element, and rated limits are 4 bar at 21°C and 2.4 bar at 80°C.
Within the PLM series, the groove type takes high-solids feeds and the orange-peel surface adds rigidity under differential pressure. The mini-grooved cartridge is the polishing option, often the last depth stage before cartuchos filtrantes de membrana. Compare all three surfaces in the melt blown filter cartridge range.

Aplicaciones
- Polishing stage on industrial process liquids at finer grades
- Last depth stage ahead of pleated or membrane final filters
- Industrial water pre-filtration on cleaner feeds
Who it is for
Process engineers and system integrators who need a finer depth stage on relatively clean process liquids or industrial water, ahead of pleated or membrane cartridges.

Can the PLM mini-grooved cartridge replace the melt blown cartridge we run now?
It is a replacement option where your housing takes a 63 mm OD cartridge in 5" to 40" lengths with DOE or SOE end caps. Send the current model, end cap and seal type. Engineering confirms dimensional fit first; performance on your fluid is confirmed by a sample or trial.
How is it validated before switching?
Start with a fit check against your housing, then run a sample on the actual feed. Compare differential pressure rise, change-out interval and downstream quality against the cartridge in service. Scale the order only after your team accepts the trial result.
What data or documentation is available?
This page publishes the micron grades, media, dimensions, end caps, seals, flow, pressure and temperature limits. Pullner manufactures under ISO 9001. Ask engineering which inspection or test records can accompany your order before you request a sample.
What are the operating limits?
Maximum temperature is 80°C. Maximum differential pressure is 4 bar at 21°C, falling to 2.4 bar at 80°C. The media is polypropylene, so confirm chemical compatibility for your specific fluid, concentration and temperature. The cartridge is rated for liquid service.
How does a mini-grooved melt blown cartridge differ from a grooved one?
Both are 100% polypropylene melt blown cartridges on the same PLM specification. The groove type has deeper slots for high-solids feeds. The mini-grooved type has a fine groove pattern that adds effective filtration area for cleaner feeds at finer grades, typically as a polishing stage.
What is the minimum order and lead time?
Standard minimum order is 1000 pieces and standard lead time is 15 working days. Send the length, micron grade, end cap and seal material with your inquiry so the quote matches the exact configuration.
