Plants do not replace a Pall Ultipleat because it stopped working. They replace it because a sole-sourced consumable on a twelve-week lead time is a risk the maintenance budget cannot absorb, and because twenty elements on a six-week cycle is a number that compounds.
The PHFL is a dimensional equivalent. Same 6″ (152.4 mm) format, same 20″, 40″ and 60″ lengths, single open end, no housing modification. It is available in three media covering working temperatures from 82 °C to 121 °C, in grades from 0.1 to 100 µm, at 50 to 200 GPM per element.

- Municipal and industrial water: high flow prefiltration.
- RO pre-treatment: membrane protection at scale.
- Hot process streams: glass fibre media to 121 °C.
- Cooling and process loops: side-stream filtration.
Decide the media before the grade. The spread in working temperature is wide enough that it eliminates options rather than merely ranking them.

All three carry the same 3.44 bar differential pressure rating at their respective ceilings, and all three cover 0.1 to 100 µm.
The same housing accepts several core and adaptor variants, and the printed part number does not always distinguish them. Six items produce a same-day quote:
- Part number printed on the existing cartridge
- Housing manufacturer and model, if known
- Element length — 20", 40" or 60"
- Micron grade in service
- Fluid, working temperature and flow rate per element
- Change-out interval you are getting today
A photograph of the element’s open end and adaptor settles most of this in one go.
Every element is tested in Pullner’s own laboratory, raw material through finished goods, on a bench including a PMI pore size analyser, an SEM resolving to 3 nm, ICP-MS, an ion chromatograph and an IFTS single-pass rig.
For a second-source approval that documentation is normally the deciding artefact rather than the sample itself. Ask for it with the sample, not after — it removes a full cycle from the qualification. Most alternative suppliers cannot produce comparable records.
Up to two samples ship worldwide free of charge, with freight paid by the customer.
