Pre-Iron Removal Filter for Condensate Polishing, PHFX Series
The PHFX Pre-Iron Filter Element sits ahead of a condensate polisher in power generation and protects the ion exchange resin from iron. Iron carried into a resin bed fouls it and shortens its service run, so removing it upstream lets the polisher do its own job. Among condensate polishing filters, the PHFX is offered in polypropylene, absorbent cotton or glass fiber media, rated 1–20 µm, in 60″ and 70″ lengths at 50 mm or 60 mm outside diameter. Each element handles 10–20 GPM up to 80°C. Send your polisher model or current pre-filter element, with flow and temperature, for a fit check and quote.

A condensate polisher is built to remove dissolved ions, not particulate iron. Iron oxide that reaches the resin coats the beads and loads the bed, which shortens service runs and adds regeneration demand. The pre-iron stage takes that load off the resin, both during unit start-up and in normal operation.
The PHFX element is offered in three media: polypropylene, absorbent cotton and glass fiber, rated 1–20 µm. Outside diameter is 50 mm or 60 mm, in 60" or 70" lengths for long polishing-system vessels. End connections are a range of options: bottom thread G1", M33×1.5, M33×2 or 13/16"-24 BSW, with an upper thread of M6, M8 or M10. Each element is rated for 10–20 GPM, a maximum differential pressure of 2.5 bar and a temperature limit of 80°C.
The same PHFX series is also listed as the Process Condensate Filter Element, framed for condensate recovery. This page covers one position only: the iron-removal stage directly upstream of the polisher. For the wider duty list see فلاتر محطة توليد الكهرباء, and for other long-format elements see Pullner's خراطيش الفلتر المطوية.
الميزات الرئيسية
- Resin-bed protection — removes iron upstream of the condensate polisher at 1–20 µm.
- Three media — polypropylene, absorbent cotton or glass fiber, selected against condensate chemistry and temperature.
- Long-format sizes — 60" and 70" lengths at 50 mm or 60 mm outside diameter.
- A range of end-thread options — bottom thread G1", M33×1.5, M33×2 or 13/16"-24 BSW; upper thread M6, M8 or M10.
- Defined operating envelope — 10–20 GPM per element, 2.5 bar maximum differential pressure, 80°C temperature limit.
- ISO 9001 manufacturing — produced under an ISO 9001 quality management system.

Who it is for
Power plant chemistry and O&M engineers, EPCs and system integrators running or specifying condensate polishing systems that need an iron-removal stage ahead of the resin beds.

Can it replace the pre-filter element in our condensate polisher?
It can be reviewed as a replacement option. PHFX comes at 50 mm or 60 mm outside diameter, 60" or 70" long, with a range of bottom and upper thread options. Send the polisher model, the current element and its end fitting, and Pullner confirms dimensional fit before recommending a change.
How is it validated before switching?
Validation runs in three steps: a fit check against your housing and current element, a sample on your own line, and a performance trial under your operating conditions. Pullner does not claim performance parity with an incumbent element until that trial data exists, and a switch is recommended only after the trial.
What data or documentation is available?
The published specification on this page covers micron rating, media, diameter, length, end threads, flow, differential pressure and temperature. Elements are made under an ISO 9001 quality management system. Ask engineering for any further documentation your plant's validation procedure requires.
What are the operating limits?
Each element is rated for 10–20 GPM, a maximum differential pressure of 2.5 bar and a temperature limit of 80°C. Confirm the media choice against your condensate chemistry and operating temperature with engineering before specifying.
Is this a power plant condensate filter?
Yes, for one position: the pre-iron stage upstream of the condensate polisher, in start-up and normal operation. For condensate recovered from process steam users, the same PHFX series is listed as the Process Condensate Filter Element.
What is the minimum order and lead time?
The minimum order is 150 pieces and the lead time is 15 working days. Send your polisher details and current element so the quote reflects the right media, micron grade, length and end threads.
